Agricultural Technician Sought
The Meigs Soil & Water Conservation District is accepting applications for the position of Agricultural Technician.
Applicants must be a high school graduate and have a valid driver’s license. It is also suggested that applicants have an associate’s degree or higher degree in agriculture, biology, natural resources or some related field. Applicants may have a minimum of two years’ experience in a related field. Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred. Experience with and understanding agriculture is desirable. The ability to work with public and co-workers is essential. Applicants should have strong verbal skills to work with the public. Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, surveying equipment, and/or other agricultural equipment and conservation best management practices are recommended. Basic Math skill/understanding is required.
Applicants may be subject to a drug test. A background check is a requirement for this position.
